We’re living in a world where Jesus is alive.
So much more is possible.
In a world where we so often feel limited by money or pain or cruelty, it’s hard to remember what’s real: for the people of God, Jesus defines reality.
The God of the universe is in your corner. He went into death to bring you life. He will also go into your money to rescue provision and care. He will go into your pain and cruelty to rescue contentment and kindness. So that life is full of open ended possibility.
The church, at it’s best, is people living out of that reality. All the hard questions are answered, the failures are repaired, the future is secured. The church, at it’s best, is a little colony of people presenting reality to their neighbors and inviting them to join in. I’m hoping this Easter season I can remember what’s real and be a living embodiment of reality to the folks around me.
